ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Trim Crew Leader and Carpenter to oversee and manage a team of carpenters specializing in trim, millwork, and finish carpentry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trim, leadership experience, and the ability to ensure high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining project schedules and safety standards.
Overarching Goals: Perform duties to compare high quality residential finish carpentry
Lead and supervise a trim crew, ensuring efficiency and high-quality workmanship.
Read and interpret plans, project specifications, and job site plans to determine work requirements.
Work with other crews as necessary to complete new homes efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reliable
From promptness to quality they are reliable.
Plan Reading
Ability to read, interpret, and follow project plans and specifications accurately.
Ensure work aligns with plans, specs, and construction guidelines.
Prepare, Cut/Fit, Install
In depth knowledge of each technique and ideal design for anyone with questions.
Preparing, cutting/fitting, and installing doors, cabinets, and flooring.
Knowledge and ability to use the correct tools and equipment necessary to complete the job.
Detail Oriented
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality in their work.
Take the time to review and refine.
Take responsibility and strive for high-quality results.
Collaboration
Work effectively alongside other contractors and crew members.
Maintain clear communication with all crew on the jobsite.
The ability to learn and accept the StoneMill process to finish carpentry.
Reliability throughout the job is essential to ensure quality and efficiency.
If necessary one must be available to occasionally work on Fridays or Saturdays.
Experience
4+ years’ prior experience in trim work, construction, or a related field (preferred but not required).
