We’re a hands-on, design-forward residential construction and development company building exceptional neighborhoods and custom homes. From raw dirt to finished foundations and driveways, we rely on a skilled in-house concrete crew to deliver precision and durability. We’re looking for a Concrete Crew Lead to take the reins on residential flatwork and foundation projects and help us set the standard in our growing community.
Position Summary:
As the Concrete Crew Lead, you will lead a small, capable team in executing residential concrete work — including foundations, driveways, sidewalks, patios, curb and gutter, and occasionally light commercial flatwork. You’ll be responsible for planning daily operations, managing crew performance, and delivering high-quality results on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Jobsite Coordination:
Direct daily activities of the concrete crew, assigning tasks and ensuring productivity.
Work closely with the superintendent and project manager to understand scope, schedules, and priorities.
Lead by example in safety, quality, and work ethic.
Concrete Installation & Quality Control:
Oversee layout, formwork, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete elements.
Ensure precision in footings, foundations, walls, and flatwork with proper alignment, elevation, and finish.
Perform site checks, elevations, and confirm plans and grade requirements.
Equipment & Material Management:
Coordinate delivery and staging of concrete, rebar, forming materials, and finishing tools.
Operate equipment such as skid steers, power trowels, and concrete saws when needed.
Maintain equipment and tools in clean, safe working order.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce all OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety procedures.
Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure PPE use across the team.
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of concrete experience, including forming, finishing, and layout
1+ years of supervisory or lead role experience on a concrete crew
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, elevations, and site plans
Strong knowledge of forming systems, slump testing, surface finishing, and curing
Skilled with hand tools, finishing tools, lasers, and light equipment
High level of integrity, accountability, and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
CDL or ability to tow equipment trailers is a plus
What We Offer:
Competitive wages, paid bi-weekly (see lower)
