We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Finishing Lead Carpenter to take charge of the fine details that make our homes exceptional.

Position Summary:

As the Finishing Lead Carpenter, you'll be responsible for executing and overseeing finish carpentry and interior detail work on new homes and remodels. From trim, doors, and cabinetry to built-ins and specialty features, you’ll set the tone for craftsmanship and completion on each project. This is a lead role requiring hands-on ability, organization, and a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install trim, baseboard, casing, crown molding, interior doors, stair components, and built-in features

  • Read and interpret construction drawings, finish schedules, and interior design plans

  • Coordinate with the project manager and design team to execute high-quality finishes

  • Lead or assist in the installation of cabinets, floating shelves, accent walls, and custom millwork

  • Maintain high standards of fit, finish, and cleanliness on active job sites

  • Manage materials, tools, and finish carpentry equipment

  • Mentor junior carpenters or apprentices and direct daily tasks

  • Identify and troubleshoot layout or framing inconsistencies during finish phase

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in residential finish carpentry

  • Proficient in operating miter saws, routers, nail guns, levels, and layout tools

  • Ability to read and follow construction documents, finish details, and interior specs

  • Strong knowledge of interior wood species, fasteners, adhesives, and finishes

  • Skilled in installing doors, hardware, crown, and custom trim with clean joints and minimal punch

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license

  • Self-motivated, organized, and committed to craftsmanship

  • Ability to work independently or with a small team

Benefits and Compensation

After 6 months employment:

  • Paid holidays (New Years Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)

Expected Compensation

$20-$35/hour + cash awards (quarterly profit sharing) + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors including experience, skills, resources and knowledge. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the situation and details will be provided if you receive an offer of employment.
