We’re looking for a Excavation and Landscape Tech to help us set new standards in our growing community.
Position Summary:
As the Excavation and Landscape Tech, you will work with a small, capable team in executing residential dirt work — including foundation prep, driveways and sidewalks prep, patios, utility trenching, and rough and final grade. You’ll bring final grade to the next level with complete landscape works so new owners can relax from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Excavation
Operate mini-excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and compactors safely for site clearing, trenching, and land shaping.
Interpret site plans, grade stakes, and blueprints to execute precise digging, drainage slopes, and elevation targets.
Identify underground utility lines using 811 markouts and use hand tools near sensitive infrastructure.
Landscaping
Install, set up, and troubleshoot residential sprinkler systems.
Backfill, grade, compact soil, and lay topsoil, sod, mulch, plants, and trees according to design specifications.
Manage completed landscapes and make sure systems are working properly so that plantings thrive.
Safety, Maintenance & Site Operations
Perform daily machine inspections, fluid checks, greasing, and minor field maintenance on heavy equipment.
Strictly adhere to OSHA standard safety protocols, including trench safety, rigging standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) rules.
Load, haul, secure, and transport equipment and job site materials using work trucks and trailers.
Qualifications:
1–3+ years of hands-on experience operating equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, site plans, laser levels, and grade stakes for accurate depth and elevation targets.
Valid driver's license (CDL Class A or B preferred) and reliable transportation required.
Ability to perform demanding physical labor in variable outdoor weather conditions.
Experience safely loading, securing, towing, and backing up equipment trailers.
Mechanical aptitude for conducting daily equipment checks, greasing, and minor troubleshooting.
High level of integrity, accountability, and communication skills

Expected Compensation
$25-$33/hour + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors including experience, skills, resources and knowledge. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the situation and details will be provided if you receive an offer of employment.
