From civic facilities and site infrastructure to flatwork and foundation systems, our commercial concrete division plays a vital role in our success. We’re seeking a Concrete Crew Lead who brings experience, leadership, and drive to oversee high-performance commercial pours and formwork projects.
Position Summary:
The Commercial Concrete Crew Lead will manage and work alongside a field crew on a variety of concrete scopes — including structural footings, walls, slabs, flatwork, curb and gutter, equipment pads, and more. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands scheduling, sequencing, and the importance of precise execution in commercial settings. You’ll ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with design and specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Daily Operations:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of a 3–8 person crew on active jobsites.
Read and interpret construction documents to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
Set daily goals and provide direction and mentorship to crew members.
Concrete Construction Execution:
Oversee layout, formwork, reinforcement placement, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures and slabs.
Ensure proper alignment, grade, and tolerances using lasers and instruments.
Finish concrete to specified textures and tolerances for commercial applications.
Project Coordination:
Work with site superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and schedule.
Coordinate with division superintendent for material deliveries and batch times.
Monitor pour timing, crew staging, weather considerations, and concrete handling.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
Lead daily safety talks and enforce site-specific safety policies.
Monitor crew compliance with PPE and OSHA standards.
Review and verify quality control benchmarks for each scope (slump, finish, strength tests, etc.).
Equipment & Tool Oversight:
Operate and oversee use of skid steers, laser screeds, power trowels, concrete vibrators, and saws.
Maintain tools and small equipment and coordinate repairs with shop management.
Qualifications:
5+ years experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction
2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred
Proficiency in reading blueprints, structural drawings, and site layouts
Deep understanding of forming systems
Experience managing complex concrete pours and commercial jobsite logistics
Strong problem-solving, communication, and people leadership skills
Valid driver’s license required; CDL or equipment hauling experience a plus
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Expected Compensation
$26-$40/hour + cash awards (quarterly profit sharing) + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors including experience, skills, resources and knowledge. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the situation and details will be provided if you receive an offer of employment.
