Position Summary:

As a Civil Engineer on our team, you will be a key contributor in the planning, design, and execution of residential subdivisions and related infrastructure. You’ll work closely with our survey, architectural, construction, and municipal teams to bring land development projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Development & Subdivision Design:

    • Design roads, utilities, drainage systems, grading plans, and lot layouts for residential neighborhoods.

    • Prepare and review civil construction documents, including site plans and plat maps.

    • Coordinate stormwater management and erosion control plans per local regulations.

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee engineering aspects from feasibility through construction, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

    • Coordinate with surveying, architectural, and construction teams to ensure design intent is carried through to the field.

  • Permitting & Compliance:

    • Prepare and submit plans to municipalities and regulatory agencies for approval.

    • Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Collaboration & Field Work:

    • Support construction teams with technical guidance during site grading, utility installation, and paving.

    • Conduct site visits to assess progress and troubleshoot engineering-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • 3+ years experience in civil site development, land planning, or residential construction

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydrology/hydraulic modeling tools

  • Strong knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and development codes

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal teams and public agencies

  • Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset

After 6 months employment:

Expected Compensation

$35-$45/hour + cash awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors including experience, skills, resources and knowledge. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the situation and details will be provided if you receive an offer of employment.
